Summer School visits

 

It was an real honour to visit young people on placements with employers across Oldham as part of the Summer Skilled Trades School project.

The programme was started last year soon after being elected. I was keen to support young people and also to promote decent vocational jobs – the very same which gave me a good career.

It was clear from the visits that not only did the young people get a lot from it, but also the employers.

The final day of the programme was spent with the amazing team at Oldham Fire Station. The programme could not happen without the support of funders, employers and schools.
