LAST WEEK I was delighted to attend the launch of Annie Kenney House at the Oasis Academy School within my constituency. I met with the inspiring youngsters who had named their House after Annie Kenney after undertaking a study of her life in their history class.
The students at the Oasis Academy never cease to amaze me. Not only did I have the opportunity to look at a showcase of their work the students had gone even further and fundraised over £400 towards the Annie Kenney Project which seeks to erect a statue of Annie Kenney in Oldham.
It was a lovely start to my constituency day and I look forward to visiting them again in the near future!
