Too many NHS staff, care workers, small-business owners and everyday people across Oldham West, Chadderton & Royton who use their own cars for work are being short-changed because HMRC’s rates haven’t been updated. It’s unfair, it’s outdated, and it needs fixing now.
For 14 years the Tories failed to take action on mileage rates, with working people left paying to work.
Labour is the party of working people. That is why I’m calling for government to instruct HMRC to finally refresh the mileage rate and show working people that they have a government on their side.
