I’m very sorry to hear that Phil Woolas has passed away. He was always hugely supportive in all the years he served the borough as an MP.
He served many ministerial offices including as Minister of State for Local Government too, and he was a great advocate for councils and councillors.
My thoughts are with Phil’s family and friends.
