Images, videos, text and all other creative content used on this website, and other platforms such as social media, are the property of Jim McMahon (Oldham).

All rights and protections afforded by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, and any other relevant U.K. law is relied upon to protect the owners moral and economic interest.

This includes, but is not limited to;

  • copying content/work
  • distributing copies of it, whether free of charge or for sale
  • renting or lending copies of content/work
  • performing, showing or playing content/work in public
  • making an adaptation of content/work
  • putting it on the internet

Conditions of use

Any third party use is subject to the following conditions;

1). Authorisation prior to use can be requested by emailing jim@jimmcmahon.co.uk giving details of the image, video or other content you wish to use.

2). Ensuring that any special conditions of use are adhered to. This may include, but not be limited to, giving additional acknowledgements. For instance if the work was originated by an employee who requests acknowledgement, or if the works are subject to assignment with specific conditions attached to its use.

3). Ensure that the integrity and of the work/content is maintained and not edited, with the exception of routine amendments to sizing, and colour and lightness settings.

4). Give acknowledgement of ownership by adding ©️Jim McMahon (Oldham).

Assumed authorisation

Content sent to you for publication

Approval to use content sent to the recipient for publication by Jim McMahon (Oldham) is assumed on sending.

Publication of content is subject the conditions of use outlined above.

When prior approval is not usually required

Authorisation without prior approval being required is granted to;

1). The Labour Party, The Co-operative Party, and it’s national, regional and local units, including approved candidates, and elected officials.

2). schools, colleges or universities including staff in the course of teaching, and students in the support of learning.

3). members of the general public who are sharing for private use, for instance personal social media pages, without payment or reward.

This excludes publication on group social media pages and/or political campaigning contrary to the benefit of the Labour Party and/or the Co-operative Party, regardless of payment or reward.

4). press and media outlets regulated by;

  • IPSO – Independent Press Standards Organisation. Subject to the adherence to the Editors Code of Practice
  • OFCOM – Office of Communication

Providing that all other conditions set out above are maintained.

Any other exceptions provided for in law are acknowledged.
