Thanks to the BBC at MediaCityUK and Aviva Studios in Manchester for giving the students such a fantastic day in the heart of our city-region.
Their morning was spent at Aviva Studios which had the ‘AI WEIWEI: BUTTON UP!’ Exhibition, a brilliant look at the impact of protest through art and how we can all do our bit to change the world for the better.
At the BBC, they were given an insight into broadcast media and how local people like them don’t have to leave home to get a great job in journalism. They were given a tour of the BBC offices and studios which are used for North West Tonight, BBC Breakfast, Radio Manchester, and BBC Sport.
