I’m delighted that the first decision of the new Mayor of Greater Manchester, Bev Craig, is to extend free bus travel to all 11-18 year olds from January, significantly expanding the scheme from its current 16-18 year olds.
Currently around 50,000 young people benefit from Our Pass, but it’s hoped this is increased to 200,000, a massive boost to open up opportunities, and could save families around £500 a year.
