From today, the 83 bus runs 24 hours a day Thursday night to Sunday morning connecting Manchester, Failsworth, Hollinwood, Werneth & Oldham town centre.
That means a proper night bus for people working late, getting home after a night out, or simply needing to get around our borough through the night.
It’s a practical change that will make a real difference and another step towards a bus network that works for local people in the way they deserve.
This is what happens when we take back control of our buses and put them back in public hands: better, cheaper, more connected services that people can rely on.
A big step forward for our borough.
